Choose size, materials and printing
To order a folding fan, choose its size, leaf material, frame, printing, quantity and packaging. You do not need to settle every detail before contacting us: a reference photo, intended use and budget can give the discussion a useful starting point.
The leaf is the paper or fabric carrying the artwork. The ribs support it, the two outer guards protect the folded fan, and the pivot holds the frame together. Describe the leaf and frame separately; “bamboo fan” alone does not identify the printing surface.

Send six details for a useful quote

Confirm the leaf’s actual composition; “imitation silk” describes appearance rather than fiber content. Compare leaf materials and frame options separately.

Compare what the price includes
A lower fan price can still produce a higher final bill. Check these lines before choosing a quote:
- Printing: the same coverage, number of sides and artwork versions.
- Development: sample work, setup and any later changes. Confirm whether a credit applies before subtracting it.
- Packing: the pack itself, inserts, labels and assembly.
- Delivery: freight, destination charges and any taxes included or excluded.
If the price is over budget, request one clearly described alternative at a time: one printed side instead of two, one shared design instead of several, or a sleeve instead of a box. Compare the saving with what you give up. See the cost guide for a complete quote comparison.
Check the assembled fan before approval
A digital proof checks wording and layout. A printed leaf shows the image on the chosen surface. An assembled sample lets you judge how printing, folds, frame and packaging work together.
- Read it while open: check the smallest text, dates and logos. If a word drops into a fold, move the artwork; increasing image resolution will not fix its position.
- Turn it over: check the reverse orientation and whether dark artwork shows through a pale area on the other side.
- Open and close it gently: look for catching folds, loose attachment, rough guard edges or an unstable pivot.
- Try the complete pack: insert and remove the fan with its sleeve and accessories fitted.
If a sample uses a substitute material, identify what it can actually approve. One construction sample also does not approve every design’s names, dates or colors. The sample guide covers the checks and details to include in your approval.
Allow time for samples, production and delivery
At FoldCool, sample making usually takes 3–7 days and bulk production usually takes 7–15 days. Timing depends on the design and order; shipping is separate. Confirm the start date, any revisions and the delivery schedule before relying on those ranges.
Artwork changes, waiting for sample approval and a packaging revision can all move the schedule. Give us the date the fans need to arrive, leaving time for your team to inspect and prepare them. Use the timeline guide to work backward from that date.
Confirm the final order and design quantities
Before production, confirm the final artwork files, fan specification, quantities by design, sample corrections, packing and delivery details together. Keep the approved sample or its agreed reference. Old artwork attached to a new email is an easy way to print the wrong date.
When the shipment arrives, count each design separately and check the fans against that reference. A correct total does not confirm that each design has the ordered quantity. Keep carton labels and photograph any damage before repacking.
